The “Last Hurah” of Texas A&M Solar Motorsports. Lone Star would go on to compete at the 2003 American Solar Challenge, months after the teams advisor retired.

Using a similar lay down design to the Acala and Papillion, Lone Star would go on to compete at the 2003 American Solar Challenge in the open division. The team had high hopes for the vehicle, believing it could showcase their hard work and innovative engineering. However, during the competition, a suspension failure occurred, preventing the car from performing as expected. This setback was disappointing for the team, who had invested countless hours in preparation and design. Despite this challenge, they remained committed to learning from the experience and improving their future projects.
